End of Day One

2636 words in three chapters. Edward has escaped from his captors (or at least, that's what he thinks) and is now walking from one side of the city to the other. I'm not sure what chapter 4 will be - it feels like this is a good time to switch to a different character. This will probably be brother Charles, back at the ranch (err, their family estate), fretting about the fact that Edward has disappeared.

If I want to keep up with my goal of 3k per day, I'm already 400 words behind. Guess I better get started.
